Family Recovery Program
We provide a 10-day, intensive program at the Family
Recovery residential program center. Our program is
not for addicts or alcoholics, though; we have tailored
the program specifically for the families, friends,
and partners affected by another person’s addiction.
Anyone involved in a relationship with an addict can
develop a set of unhealthy behaviors known as codependency.
When an addict does receive treatment, the people around
also often need counseling to help them deal with the
behavioral and emotional changes that came from being
in close relation with an unhealthy individual. If someone
about whom you care does have an active drug or alcohol
problem, we also provide a unique track that teaches
about addiction and codependency, interventions, and
how your can help in a healthy way.
Our program focuses on undoing the negative behaviors
and the damage that arise when living around an addict
or alcoholic. Through controlled interactions, we help
our clients recognize unhealthy habits and to build
anew. Our clients learn about their role in the addiction
process, triggers, and how to avoid falling back into
unhealthy behaviors. We teach how to provide nourishing,
safe support in a caring relationship.
Under the guidance of counselors, we encourage building
a long-lasting support network through one-on-one and
group counseling. While our weekly barbeques are an
excellent time to relax, they’re also a proactive
learning experience about interacting with peers and
making new friends. By the end of the program, our clients
know the common bond they share with so many other families;
they learn how to meet others with the same problems
through 12-step, codependency meetings. While our program
lasts only a short time, the relationships our clients
form and the skills they learn last a lifetime.
Our highest priority is building healthy relationships
and healthy lives through social, mental, physical,
and emotional health. We strive to have our clients
leave feeling free, happy, and excited for life. If
you are interested in our program or know someone who
may be, please contact our knowledgeable staff for more
